Introducing the SLGC Market Garden: Fresh From the Farm Every Week
At Saskatoon Landscape & Garden Centre, we’re always looking for new ways to connect our customers with quality, locally grown products. That’s why we are excited to introduce one of our newest additions: The SLGC Market Garden!
This season, we’ve partnered with Spring Water Gardens, a Hutterite colony near Ruthilda, Saskatchewan, to bring fresh, locally grown produce straight to our garden centre. Every Tuesday, we receive a new delivery of farm-fresh vegetables and pantry staples, making each visit a little different from the last.
Fresh, Local, and Always Changing
One of the best parts of our Market Garden is that our selection changes throughout the growing season. As different crops reach their peak, new items arrive each week, giving you something new to discover every time you stop by.
Our first deliveries have included:
- Baby carrots
- Shelling peas
- Cucumbers, including pickling, bread & butter, and slicer varieties
- Cabbage, including green, red and green flathead
- Red and yellow beats
- Red and yellow potatoes
- Local honey, available in pasteurized and unpasteurized
- Farm-fresh eggs
As the season continues, keep an eye out for even more locally grown produce arriving throughout the summer and early fall.
